Harvest Days Festival Pumpkin Painting Harvest Days PaintingEarly Saturday the vendors will line the streets facing the storefronts and sidewalks along Virginia Avenue offering seasonal crafts, specialty items, antiques, collectibles and antiquities (items of an era) from 9 am to 3 pm. In addition to the vendors, the one-of-a-kind specialty shops and restaurants will offer specials throughout the downtown area, enjoy our annual fundraising auction along with a host of games & crafts for the kids to participate in and a galore of farm animals to see, & ponies to ride. Come out and enjoy the beautiful autumn weather and the activities that are available. The event is opened to the public and there is no admission charge. This year the festival will continue into the late afternoon & evening, 4 pm-9 pm with the Lake Country last Cruise-in for 2014. Auditions for C.A.T.S. FAMILY CHRISTMAS will take place on Monday, October 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This musical-revue-style show has been sponsored by the Town of South Hill and the South Hill Chamber of Commerce. Performance dates are set for December 6, 12, and 13 at 8:00 p.m. and December 7 and 14 at 2:30 p.m. Please be sure you are available for all performances and rehearsals before auditioning! Director Douglas Wright is seeking singers and dancers of all ages to participate in this exciting C.A.T.S. show. If auditioning for a singing role, please be prepared to sing a solo Christmas tune. No group numbers, duets, trios, etc. will be accepted. Please provide a “karaoke-style” CD for your audition. A piano accompanist will not be available at auditions, but you will be allowed to provide your own piano accompaniment if necessary.
