2008 IMPORTANT FACT SHEET

Clarksville Lake Country Chamber of Commerce

WHAT:        A one-day Arts & Crafts Show, part of the 3-day Virginia Lake Festival.

WHERE:     Downtown Clarksville. Booths are set-up facing the sTREET; Virginia Avenue will be closed to traffic during the Festival. To aid in traffic control, vehicles are stopped at each end of town and given directions for parking
   and festival activities.

WHEN:       Saturday, July 19, 2008            9 am-5 pm        No Rain Date

PARKING:  Vendors will be directed to designated vendor parking areas (Note: there is no parking next to the exhibit area.) Once unloaded, vehicles must be parked on side streets as designated by Festival Officials.

COST:  Craft space = $150    Food space = $300     Children’s Entertainment = $150   Commercial space = $250 
                  $100 (Chamber Member) After June 1, space fee is non-refundable in the event of cancellation on your part or      
                    inclement weather.
                  There will be an additional $25 service charge for returned checks.

POWER:   Vendors are permitted to bring only quiet, clean-burning generators if needed.

BUSINESS

LICENSE:   The Clarksville Lake Country Chamber has purchased a “blanket” business license for the Virginia Lake Festival. Approved vendors are NOT required to purchase one.

SPACES:   

• Craft and food display spaces are approximately 10’ x 18’ wide (equal to a parking space) along Virginia Avenue, our main street.
• Exhibit tables must be covered to the ground/street. 
• Commercial spaces are 10’x10’.
• We ask vendors to be open during all hours of the show for the entire period through 5:00 p.m. 
• All vendors are assigned spaces by the Clarksville Lake Country Chamber staff. We do not guarantee space requests.
• Vendor Hospitality Room will be open in Town Hall from 8 am-5 pm—A/C, restrooms & cold water.  

IMPORTANT
NOTES:      The Jury Committee makes every attempt to select only crafters/artisans whose work is their own, not commercially purchased or manufactured (this does not apply to commercial vendors).  On occasion, crafters may be called upon to verify that the work is their own. Should Festival Officials discover for duration of the show that a crafter/artisan misrepresented them self to the Jury Committee, they will be asked to leave and no refund given.

HOW TO APPLY:   
   Applications must be returned ASAP for Jury consideration with three “color photos” of your product/crafts and one of your outside booth display. Please label photos with vendor name and provide a self-addressed stamped envelope with correct postage for return of photos. Notification of acceptance will be sent out after the Jury Committee has met. (Note: The 1st Jury Meeting will be held in March 2008).  Deadline for applications is June 20, 2008; acceptance after that as space is available.
