About the Event
LAKEFEST
2027 is the 50th anniversary of the Virginia Lake Festival!
Voted by the Southeast Tourism Society as ‘One of the Top 20 Festivals In The Southeast’ for many years, Lake Fest (as it is known locally) attracts nearly 35,000 people annually to view hundreds of attractions including hot air balloons, arts and crafts, live entertainment, music, dancing, and great local and ethnic food. The event culminates in the traditional ‘Gathering Of The Boats’ and fireworks show on Saturday evening. Boaters take to Buggs Island/Kerr Lake and festival-goers line the shores to see the hot air balloons.
Mark your calendar and make this the year to come, experience the fun at our 50th annual event, and experience the wonder and fun of Lake Fest – you’ll be glad you did! Join us from July 16th through July 17th, 2027.
